Teardown vs. backwash — what’s the difference?
A full grid teardown means taking the filter apart and cleaning each grid individually before reassembling and recharging it. A backwash and recharge is the routine maintenance that flushes the filter and tops up the DE powder. Backwashing is quicker and done regularly; a full teardown is deeper and done far less often. If your pressure is climbing or flow has dropped, a teardown is usually the answer.
Replacement parts, damaged components, and additional repairs are quoted separately. Service availability depends on equipment condition.
